§ 1 Scope

These terms of use apply to the Loui web application, operated by Joshua Mohr, Rosenstr. 1, 88212 Ravensburg, Germany (hereinafter "Provider").

§ 2 Description of Service

Loui is a free, browser-based Markdown application. No registration or personal data is required to use the service. The Provider reserves the right to modify, restrict, or discontinue the service at any time.

§ 3 Data Storage

Documents and project data are stored exclusively in the user's local browser storage (localStorage). No data is transmitted to or stored on external servers, unless the user participates in the beta programme. Beta testers consent to their data being stored in encrypted form on the Provider's server via a secured HTTPS connection.

§ 4 Pricing and Service Changes

The Provider reserves the right to adjust prices, pricing structures, and the scope of services at any time and without stating reasons. Changes take effect upon publication on the website. Continued use of the service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new terms. There is no entitlement to the continuation of existing prices or service features.

§ 5 Availability

The Provider does not guarantee the continuous availability of the application. Loui may be modified or shut down at any time without prior notice.

§ 6 Disclaimer of Liability

Use of Loui is at the user's own risk. The Provider accepts no liability for loss of data, in particular in the event of browser storage being cleared. No liability is accepted for damages arising from the use or unavailability of the application, unless caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct on the part of the Provider.

§ 7 Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Place of jurisdiction is Ravensburg, to the extent permitted by law.
